Crisis Communications Training for L’Oréal ANZ in Melbourne

Working with L’Oréal Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) we deliver crisis communications training in Melbourne. Designed to prepare senior communications professionals for high-pressure, high-impact scenarios.

We partnered with L’Oréal Group to strengthen the ANZ market team’s crisis readiness, equipping them to protect the brand’s reputation against supply chain disruptions, public scrutiny, and emerging issues.

What the crisis communications workshop covered

The day began with an expert-led overview of crisis communication best practices, tailored for the Australian and New Zealand media landscape. Topics included:

  • Developing an effective crisis communications strategy
  • Crafting messages that resonate with key stakeholders
  • Best practices for social media engagement during a crisis

Immersive crisis simulation

Participants worked in teams and took part in a realistic, two-phase crisis simulation centered on a supply chain disruption scenario:

  • Phase One: Focused on crisis planning, risk analysis, and response preparation
  • Phase Two: Tested real-time decision-making, media engagement, and recovery planning

Each team was tasked with producing time-sensitive communications deliverables under pressure, simulating the speed and complexity of a real-world incident.

Media training under pressure

The workshop concluded with an intensive media training session. Nominated spokespeople from each team participated in simulated interviews, across multiple formats, to test their messaging, clarity, and media handling skills under pressure.
