We work with the Royal Air Force (RAF) to develop storytellers who talk about their work in a real, authentic way that suits them on their own social channels. This style of communications brings the stories of the RAF to the public with a level of authenticity and credibility that cannot be achieved on corporate channels.
We identify and recruit personnel who are already using social media well to talk about their work in a personal, professional manner. We then run workshops and provide remote support to bring these people into a special network of RAF Storytellers, ensuring the Storytellers receive the highest level support and are integral to communications planning.
The first cohort shows what it’s like to:
Work with influencers, and bring new ideas to military life
Take part in a live Q&A on Instagram
Share skills and pitch athletes against each other!
This program creates a diverse cohort of 25 Storytellers, spanning different ranks, jobs and locations. The Storytellers lead takeovers of RAF social channels, answering hundreds of questions about life in the RAF, from the public and their colleagues. They also generate senior support for social media advocacy and positive media stories in the national news picked up from their posts.
