A major oil, gas and renewables client has introduced real-time, dynamic social media engagement into their regional emergency management drills. Our objective is to test the public information response of local teams and build their digital confidence.
These crisis exercises take place all over the world so regional knowledge of social media is important. We design bespoke training to brief teams on:
- Channels specific to that region
- Media consumption habits
- Online behaviours in specific countries
Training in media liaison and media interviews
We also test media liaison through role-played phone calls and interviews with response leaders, as part of town hall events and press conferences.
The exercises test the ability of Joint Information Center (JIC) responders to harness social and traditional media effectively, to conduct skillful community liaison and stakeholder outreach, and to monitor and relay pertinent developments to operational decision-makers.
These exercises lead to us delivering a wide range of training and workshops with regional communications teams.
